Controversy over Hastings College dining hall changes

Hastings College has partnered with Scott Residential Management, a company that also works with the University of Nebraska Omaha, to implement changes to the dining hall. Students expressed their concerns over the dining hall last year through surveys sent out by the college. Hastings College Scott Scholars take a two day retreat to Northeastern Nebraska

The Hastings College Scott Scholars went on a retreat to Norfolk on Aug. 9-10. The goal of the retreat was to bond as a community. The scholars met with Growing Together Northeast Nebraska, a workforce training program located in downtown Norfolk. Last Wednesday, approximately 150 students attended the fall involvement fair to learn more about the 22 on and off campus groups and activities. Some of these groups included the Hastings YMCA, Model UN, Bronco Catholic and Student Association.
