Hastings College hosted its second annual Glow Crazy event on April 3, bringing a night of vibrant energy and live music to campus. Operation Glow partnered with the HC Student Association to put on the dance for all students to enjoy.
By 9:00 p.m., students dressed in neon and began filling Kiewit Gymnasium. The event featured a live DJ, glow-in-the-dark paint, a laser show and more. Leading up to the dance, students got into the spirit with a t-shirt painting held in HSU the week prior.
Sophomore Amanda Skinner of Westminster, Colo., and a member of the Student Association, said, “It was a little different this year, especially with Mikayla Dyell leaving. We got to do a lot of the designing and communicating ourselves. Fun fact—we actually picked the date all the way back in Feb.”
Students enjoyed a night full of dancing, lights, and an immersive rave experience. Dylan Hallet, a sophomore from Lincoln, Neb. said, “I really liked dancing with my friends and the cool lights flashing everywhere. It was nice being around all of my favorite people.”
Glow Crazy once again proved to be a hit among students. With its unique experience, the event is quickly becoming a popular and beloved HC tradition.
